When our warm weather begins to turn . . .

We’ve all had summer projects on our needles for awhile now, and we definitely have some favorites here in the shop! We love to see your projects as they progress — there is something magical about a string of yarn becoming a beautiful labor of love. There is still time to work with our clean, cool and comfortable summer weight yarns . . . but it is also a great time to imagine your favorite patterns transitioning into warm, fuzzy, and cozy knits ready to break out with our favorite fall layers!

Warm Weather Scarf & Cool Weather Scarf

The Firefly Scarf has been a big hit in the shop all summer! Firefly’s beautiful drape and color selections keep this project at the top of the list, no matter what the time of year!

The Ana Moebius Cowl made in Frog Tree’s warm and cozy alpaca is a great topper for cooler temps — it’s also a great way to learn the Moebius technique and work a number of lace patterns in one project!

Warm Weather Wristers & Cool Weather Mittens

If you’ve been in the shop you’ve seen the gorgeous Churchmouse Classics Lace-Back Fingerless Gloves on our counter! We can’t say enough about Mimi by Lotus Yarns and its luscious, blossoming haze!

This Basic Hat & Mitten Set for Women pattern from Knitting Pure & Simple is an upcoming class here at Knit’n from the Heart! It’s not too early to think about taking a class in preparation for the Holiday season ahead!

Warm Weather Sweater & Cool Weather Sweater

The Manana Cardigan from the CEY Seaside Collection boasts a beautiful and breezy construction in one of our shop favorites – Sprout! Sprout is a chunky weight, super soft cotton yarn that comes in a rainbow of colors.

Noro is well known for patterns that show off their amazing yarn collections — and this winter weight sweater is no different! Stop by the shop to check out our collection of Noro books and get ready for color combinations that will brighten the days ahead!

Warm Weather Hat & Cool Weather Hat

Julie is busy working up a sample of this sweet Brenda Hat with our new Sateen Worsted from Cascade Yarns! It’s a free downloadable pattern as well! Lightweight with a bit of sheen — this acrylic is one you’re going to want to get your hands on!

This Easy Hat & Mitten Pattern from Fiber Trends made up in our new Chunky Gina is to die for! I can’t wait for cooler weather to make up a hat like this for myself.

The seasons always keep us on ours toes here in Minnesota — but it also keeps our inspiration and project bags fresh and fabulously fun! See you at the shop — Happy Knitting!
